2020/2021 Newsletter No. 1
Dear Colleagues,
I hope you are doing well. In this first newsletter of the year, I would like to extend the warmest regards from the Executive Committee to you. Besides, I would like to inform you of the following:
- Annual General Meeting (2020/2021) The Annual General Meeting held on 22 December 2020 was an unusual one. Grateful for your continuous support, this year’s AGM was successfully completed simultaneously inboth physical and online modes though under the influence of the epidemic situation. Hope that all of us would have the strength and wisdom to overcome any difficulties. And we wish you all good health and a fruitful year ahead.
- Executive Committee and Co-opted Members The Executive Committee members met immediately after the AGM and the various post were filled by election at the meeting. - Real-time Online Joint School Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) Professional Development Day 2020/2021 In light of the recent situation of the coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic and to protect the health of participants, the Joint School SRL Professional Development Day 2020-2021 will be conducted in real-time online mode.The Joint School SRL Professional Development Day will be held on 8 February 2021 (Monday). It is our great pleasure to have invited Professor Tse Chi-Shing (謝志成教授) of the Department of Educational Psychology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong as our keynote speaker on“Cognitive Basis of Learning (學習的認知基礎)”. On the development day, teachers from SRL network schools will share their learning experiences from the SRL 3.0 Lesson Study Project. There are also sharing sessions on topics of adaptive learning, blended learning and collaborative learning from different schools.
