Message from the Chairman
Welcome to HKAHSS!
Founded in 1964, HKAHSS was incorporated as a limited company by guarantee in 2018 and the Association has been entitled to the tax exemption under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112) with effect from 22 December 2020.
The HKAHSS is the most embracing and largest association of principals in Hong Kong. At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we had 343 Full Members, 31 Associate Members, 90 Life Members and 9 Affiliated Members, making a total of 463. We are grateful for your unfailing support.
HKAHSS has been enhancing professionalism and promoting the understanding of education in Hong Kong for more than 60 years. To celebrate the HKAHSS 60th Anniversary, we organised our 3rd Hong Kong Education Colloquium (HKEC) with the theme of “Raising the Bar: To Go Above and Beyond (上下求索．跨高越遠)” on 17 January 2025 (Friday) at The Mira Hong Kong. The HKEC 2025 was sponsored by the Lee Shau Kee Foundation (李兆基基金), the Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation (香港培華教育基金會), the Tin Ka Ping Foundation (田家炳基金會) and the Miramar Group (美麗華集團). The HKEC 2025 featured 7 internationally-renowned scholars from Chinese Mainland, abroad and locally, who engaged in in-depth discussions on 3 subthemes: Academic, Student Development, and Professionalism, providing valuable insights for the future education in Hong Kong. Over 300 local secondary school principals, educators, and international scholars joined the HKEC 2025 and we focused on exploring breakthroughs in the existing education system to prepare for challenges posed by rapid social changes. The 60th Anniversary Magazine was issued in December 2025.
Enhancing professionalism has always been the mission of HKAHSS and student welfare is our top priority. Thank you for supporting HKAHSS in the past years. Let’s join together for the betterment of future secondary education in Hong Kong.
